Weekend Getaway in Ciudad de México
The last weekend of November some friends and me visited the capital of México - Ciudad de México - which is about 5 hours away from Guadalajara. On this trip we got to see a lot of cultural and touristic places such as the castle of Chapultepec ("castillo de Chapultepec"), where once the Austrian Kaiser Maximilian I. has lived, the mexican ruins "Teotihuacán", the angel of independece ("angel de la independencia"), the "Palacio de Bellas Artes", the cute district "Coyoacán" and lots of different museums. We really stepped into mexican history and culture which was very interesting. Also we made it up to the "Torre Latinoamericana", the building from where we could see the city perfectly. It was just stunning! Besides of my personal historical highlight - the castle of Chapultepec - I had the amazing opportunity to see Harry Styles performing live in front of a huge crowd. Thanks to a friend of a friend I got a really price-worthy ticket for the concert and could gain this amazing experience. Gracias a Ciudad de México - it was a blessing!

Am letzten Novemberwochenende besuchten einige Freunde und ich die Hauptstadt Mexikos - Ciudad de México - die etwa 5 Stunden von Guadalajara entfernt ist. Auf dieser Reise haben wir viele kulturelle und touristische Sehenswürdigkeiten gesehen, wie zum Beispiel die Burg von Chapultepec ("castillo de Chapultepec"), wo einst der österreichische Kaiser Maximilian I. gelebt hat, die mexikanischen Ruinen "Teotihuacán", das Unabhängigkeitsmonument ("angel de la independencia"), den "Palacio de Bellas Artes", das süße Viertel "Coyoacán" und viele verschiedene Museen. Wir sind tatsächlich hautnah in die mexikanische Geschichte und Kultur eingetaucht, was wirklich sehr interessant war. Wir haben es auch geschafft zum "Torre Latinoamericana" zu gehen, dem Gebäude, von dem aus wir von ganz oben einen perfekten Überblick auf die Stadt hatten. Es war einfach atemberaubend! Neben meinem persönlichen historischen Highlight - der Burg von Chapultepec - hatte ich die unglaubliche Gelegenheit, Harry Styles live vor einem riesigen Publikum auftreten zu sehen. Dank eines Freundes eines Freundes habe ich ein wirklich günstiges Ticket für das Konzert bekommen und konnte so diese tollen Momente miterleben. Gracias a Ciudad de México - es war mir ein Vergnügen!
